Know what the result means

What information can I get from a picture?

Supported files can report format, dimensions, GPS, capture time, device and owner fields, comments, XMP, IPTC, orientation, color profile, and embedded-preview indicators. The exact result depends on what the file contains.

Can picture information identify a location?

Yes. EXIF GPS can contain coordinates, while visible signs, addresses, landmarks, and reflections can reveal a place even when GPS is absent.

Does no metadata mean the picture is anonymous?

No. A clean scan covers supported hidden structures only. The visible pixels and the context in which the picture is posted can still identify people, places, devices, or events.
